This product employs the Pinyin and Wubi text input systems.

Pinyin input is a transliteration system that allows you to read and write Chinese using the Latin alphabet. It requires users to enter a series of standard symbol combinations which are then able to be read as an accurate, standardized approximation of the Chinese language. The Pinyin system of input is the most popular and easy to use methods of communicating in Chinese without using hieroglyphs. The Wubi system is a popular input method in China based on the radical or stroke shape of Chinese characters. Wubi allows any Chinese character to be entered by using keystrokes. Based on the written character, rather than pronunciation, Wubi is a universal method that allows text to be entered more quickly.
